Before David could become the King of Israel he was serving under King Saul. God was highly pleased with David and made him victorious in every battle that he fought with the Palestines. The success and victory of David outweighed that of King Saul resulting in the women of Israel praising David for one of his greatest achievement in the form of victory over Goliath. On hearing the women praise David caused King Saul to envy David resulting into plottings to kill David. Everytime David would escape those plots and attempts.

One day David fled to Achish King of Gath which was one of the city in Palestinian along with his family and six hundred men. God’s favor was upon David so he also found favor in the sight of King Achish who gave a place called Ziklag to him and his people to stay.

During the entire journey of David in Gath there is one wonderful compliment that David received from King Achish. The King told David that since the time he had come to Gath there is not a single fault found in him and so the King wanted to make David his body guard during his life time.

David is popular as man after God’s own heart because he was leading a life pleasing to God as well as men. God gave him his character certificate even though he had evil plotters, betrayers, peace destroyers in his life.

Thus, a life pleasing to the Almighty will always bring rewards despite the difficult times that one may go through. Your aid is from Christ the King who will help you through known as well as unknown people because a life which pleases God is always victorious and successful in Christ our King. Even though your haters may accuse, malign or try to defame you but Christ your King will turn every tables and give you double honor in the place and in front of the people who humiliated and put you to shame. Amen!
