Genesis 3:5-“For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

A great mystery has been hidden in the fruit of the tree that was planted in the middle of the Eden garden and the mystery is that, the fruit was not ordinary but the heavenly treasure was hidden in it because it had three special characteristics which could make a person wise like God-

A) Power to open one’s eyes of understanding,
B) Imparting the knowledge of good and evil and
C) Making one wise like God.

The devil knew this so he fooled Eve by lying to her that she would not die if she would eat the fruit as God told Adam. Eve told Adam about it. They both wanted to become wise like God which made them to disobey God’s command by believing in the deceptive words of the devil. As a result they both ate the fruit. Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God. Though, they were already wise but by disobeying God’s command the wise turned foolish and fell in the journey of life.

The good news for God’s people is that the fruit tree with the same above mentioned characteristics is planted by God in His children’s house so that they may eat it and escape from the trap of the devil and live with Him eternally.

Beloved our very own Bible is the tree and the Word in the Bible is its fruit which opens the eyes of understanding, giving knowledge of what is good and evil and making one wise but the cunning devil knows that if God’s children read, meditate and obey the Word of God, they will live a Godly life and have an eternal life so he diverts their minds towards social sites by making them to waste their time in unproductive activities.

Dear people of God the Second coming of Christ the King is very near so we need to be spiritually prepared as He would come to take His people with Him to heaven with the twinkling of an eye to be with Him forever. So be wise!!!
