𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟔:𝟗 – ‘𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐩 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐩.’
In the New Testament we see a man named Cornelius whose life was highly pleasing to God. He had three prominent qualities that makes his life standout in the New Testament. These qualities of Cornelius drew the attention of the Almighty God.
- He was a God fearing man.
- He was a man of prayer.
- Also he was a generous man who was eveready to help the needy in times of difficulties.
These good deeds of his life came before the Throne of God as a memorial and as a result God honoured him by sending an angel to praise him. God had a good character certificate of Cornelius so that’s the reason the angel of the Lord was sent to him at God’s right time to reward him. God also visited him and his family with salvation.
Cornelius was unaware of the fact that God was watching over his life and keeping a record of every good qualities of his life inorder to reward him at the right time.
It is a great privilege to live a life pleasing to God and have a good character certificate in the sight of God rather than pleasing man and expecting praise and honour from any human being because God is God and man is man.
Man will lift you up one day and the next day the same person whom you helped will forget you but our God is faithful who watches over your life and keeps a record of your good deeds as well as good works done in humility towards your brotheren. God is same yesterday, today and forever. Whatever was done in the life of Cornelius will be done in your life as well at the right time and he will make you victorious and successful in life. You will also be blessed for your good deeds at the right time in your Christ the King along with eternal life. Amen!
